UNM AI Conversation Kickoff

Registration is closed for the UNM AI launch event happening on Thursday, September 3, 2026, but multiple sessions will be available via Zoom webinar. The free event, hosted by the UNM AI Steering Committee, will be 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Student Union Building ballrooms. Attendees are encouraged to attend the full day but are welcome to attend some individual sessions. This event is open to students, faculty and staff with an interest in the future of AI at UNM and those who wish to learn more about or influence the standards, policy and guiding ethical principles around the University’s use of AI.

UNM AI Tools

UNM IT supports a centrally managed platform and AI tools that gives UNM faculty, staff, and students access to powerful AI tools, including access to multiple large language models, without requiring them to navigate the risks, compliance concerns, or costs of using external AI products on their own.
